Imaging to evaluate suspected infective endocarditis

Although echocardiography is fundamental in diagnosing infective endocarditis, sometimes it reveals no evidence of endocarditis while clinical indicators remain consistent with the diagnosis. In such cases, repeat imaging necessary, and appropriate timeline for whether should be done transthoracic (TTE), trans esophageal (TEE), or an advanced method are important.
